THE JOURNEY
A route with room for you.
Give Valencia a week and you can go well beyond its familiar coastline. This itinerary idea connects a city arrival with inland Castellón, Morella and the quieter roads towards the reservoir country west of Valencia. It is a touring holiday with changing overnight stops, so pack lightly and leave space for a rest afternoon.
This is an original planning outline for a tailored trip, not a road-verified track or a fixed-price departure. The final roads, distances, overnight stops and services are confirmed in your proposal.
Your suggested itinerary
Days 1–2 · Valencia & the northern hills
Use the arrival day to settle in. Then leave the city towards the Calderona and inland Castellón, with a moderate stage that introduces the region’s mountain character.
Days 3–4 · Morella & the high country
Base a night around Morella and allow time to explore on foot. Add an inland loop suited to the season rather than making every day a hotel transfer.
Days 5–6 · Back towards Valencia’s interior
Work south in manageable stages and include reservoir scenery where conditions suit. A shorter day provides time for a longer lunch and a relaxed evening.
Day 7 · Return & departure
Keep the final stage flexible for the motorcycle return and onward travel. An extra night is often more comfortable than a rushed flight connection.
Make the plan fit the rider.
Morella and the inland plateau can feel much colder than Valencia city. Choose clothing and dates for the highest stages.
